The M6, fresh from its Geneva debut in March, showed up in New York with its convertible sibling for the first time.  An equal mix of sophistication and pure aggression, the chiseled lines of the 6 have been beefed up with the typical M regimen, flared fenders, larger air intakes, lower side sills, and of course a plus size wheel and tire combination.  The front kidneys get a unique dual slat treatment and the M6 badge now resides within.  The headlights have an aggressive eyebrow and lots of intricate detailing on close inspection, sparing use of materials within the light housing allows for a crisp and precise technological feel without appearing crowded.  Along the body side the new M side marker applique nestles into a sharp side feature line, more defined on the M6 than the base 6 series due to the increased width in the front fender.

The interior is mostly business and driver centric, in typical BMW fashion, but most surfaces appear leather wrapped and there is a liberal use of carbon trim with a deep gloss finish.  Offset gray stitching on the unique perforated leather seats gives a more upscale feel without compromising sporting intentions.  The v10 from the last generation has been dropped, now replaced with a 560hp twin turbocharged 4.4 liter v8, good for an estimated 4.2 second 0-60 run.
