The Nissan Murano Cross Convertible has peaked my interest when it was first introduced at the LA Auto Show, and I have to admit, honestly, and admitting that not everyone will feel the same way, THAT THIS IS THE BEST CAR EVER!!!! LOL!

Both my daughter and I, plus her friends, really enjoyed the brief period we were fortunate enough to experience it. It is an SUV, so tall on its wheels, thereby creating easy of entry and egress, a high driving position for better view over most “common” traffic, and a sense of security, safety. It also offered plenty of seating space for 4, plenty, and then, all of this came combined with an option to put the roof down! Perfection! The rest was almost totally umimportant! I remember having my Renault Espace back in Europe in the mid 90’s, and wishing there was an open top version of that available. Well, this comes very very close, and I love it.

So, being realistic, what else? Well, the engine could be a bit more powerful, but for the cruising we did, and we did some cruising, least of which was down the Strip in Las Vegas, as you can see in the video, the power is more than sufficient. But you know, you always have these people who feel they need more, just in case they are being involved in a high speed chase, just before the police here, trigger happy as they are, decide to terminate your life. Well, if you’re one of those, then maybe yuou would need more power. Otherwise, come on in, the water is fine!

I actually love the sculpture on the Murano Cross Convertible. It is clearly Murano, but it actually gained in expressiveness with dropping the 4 doors. And then, when you take the comfortable and quiet soft top down, and you have all that bare sheet metal and plastic giving this roadster look on tall wheels, and the indulgence of the tan leather interior and excellent fit and finish, you can be in paradise! We were!
