2016 Chevrolet Trax LTZ Black Edition

Significantly difficult to photograph in the bright California sunshine due to its black color, this Chevrolet Trax LTZ offered a lot of different impressions. The biggest one for me was the size. From seeing the images and videos, this is quite a cute little car to zoom around town with… NO!! This is not small at all. In fact, when I stand next to it with my 6’4″, the car is still not small. I fit in it comfortably, and I wouldn’t necessarily in a small car at all.

The Chevrolet Trax offers a lot of interior space in fact, and with it’s 5 door, the hatchback looking like an SUV actually offers a lot of versatility as well. I wouldn’t take it on an off-road trip, though I have no doubt it would actually get pretty far before it reached its limits.

The downfall of all that size is the power from the engine. Driving it up the Highway 74 to Lake Elsinore was really forcing it to become quite noisy at times, too noisy to be quite comfortable. But then again, how many times do the actual owners of this car actually do this? I would see it mainly still driving in the urban surroundings, being practical and spacious, with a hint of fun and without insulting anyone with an abundance of useless size, unlike many SUV’s.
